How to Book a Videographer

Pick a date, pay a 50% deposit, and you are booked. Here is the full process.

Booking a videographer with Vourly takes a few minutes. Pick your videographer, choose a date and duration, add any extras, pay a 50% deposit to lock the slot, then pay the balance once your footage is delivered.

The booking steps

  1. Pick your videographer. Browse portfolios, ratings, and specialties, then choose the one that fits your project, from video production to real estate or drone work.
  2. Choose date, time, and duration on the calendar. A two-hour per-shoot minimum applies.
  3. Add any extras such as professional lighting, drone footage, or an extra camera.
  4. Pay a 50% deposit to secure the slot. Every figure is listed up front on our pricing page.
  5. Confirm and coordinate details directly with your videographer.
  6. Complete the shoot and pay the remaining 50% after delivery.

You receive a confirmation right away, then coordinate timing, location, and your shot list directly with the videographer assigned to your project.

What every booking includes

Vourly is packages-first, but every shoot, whether you book hourly or choose a package, comes with the same core deliverables and no surprise upsells:

  • All of your raw footage plus full commercial rights, so you can use the video in paid ads and anywhere else.
  • One free revision round on any edited deliverable.
  • Professional editing at $75 per hour whenever you want a polished, finished cut.
  • Free travel within 30 miles, then $50 plus $1 per mile beyond that.

Contracts, minimums, and rescheduling

Standard hourly and per-shoot bookings need no long-term contract and no retainer. The only requirement is the two-hour per-shoot minimum. For larger or ongoing work, you can move to a monthly retainer or a contract if that suits your team better, just ask. That keeps it flexible: book a single shoot to test the fit, then scale up only when it makes sense.

Plans change, and that is fine. Rescheduling is free more than 48 hours before the shoot, and weather cancellations on outdoor shoots reschedule at no charge. We will always confirm a new date with you before anything changes.
