Cancellation & Refund Policy
Vourly's cancellation and refund policy is simple: rescheduling is free more than 48 hours before your shoot, and cancellation refunds scale with how much notice you give.
Rescheduling is free when you give more than 48 hours notice. Move your shoot to a new date that far out and there is no fee at all. We would rather find a time that works than charge you for a calendar change, so reach out the moment your plans shift and we will rebook the slot at no cost.
Cancellation refunds at a glance
If you need to cancel outright, your refund scales with the notice you give. The more lead time we have to fill the slot, the more of your deposit comes back:
- More than 72 hours before the shoot: full refund of the deposit
- 48 to 72 hours before: 75% refund
- 24 to 48 hours before: 50% refund
- Less than 24 hours before: no refund
Booking takes a 50% deposit to secure your slot, and the remaining 50% is paid after delivery, so a refund only ever applies to the deposit you have already put down. Full deposit amounts follow our transparent pricing.
Weather and videographer cancellations
Some cancellations are always free, no matter the timing. The notice-based tiers above cover changes you initiate, but two situations sit outside them entirely:
- Weather: outdoor shoots that get rained or stormed out reschedule at no charge, so a bad forecast never costs you a deposit
- Videographer cancellation: if your videographer has to cancel for any reason, you receive a full refund, period

How the deposit and refund work
Every booking takes a 50% deposit to reserve your slot, with the remaining 50% due after delivery, so a cancellation refund applies to the deposit you have already paid. The notice windows above are measured against your scheduled shoot time, and a standard booking needs no long-term contract.
